- 8 × 1 = 8
- 8 × 2 = 16
- 8 × 3 = 24
- 8 × 4 = 32
- 8 × 5 = 40
- 8 × 6 = 48
- 8 × 7 = 56
- 8 × 8 = 64
- 8 × 9 = 72
- 8 × 10 = 80
- 8 × 11 = 88
- 8 × 12 = 96
Tips for learning the 8 times table
- Double, double and double again: for 8 × 6, double 6 is 12, then 24, then 48.
- The 8 times table is double the 4 times table: 4 × 7 = 28, so 8 × 7 = 56.
- Count in 8s: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40…
- Every answer is even.
The 8 times table in the multiplication tables check
Between 2 and 4 of the 25 questions start with 8, like 8 × 7. Other questions, like 7 × 8, can use it too. This is one of the tables with the most questions, because children often find it harder.
