The 10 times table from 1 to 12
- 10 × 1 = 10
- 10 × 2 = 20
- 10 × 3 = 30
- 10 × 4 = 40
- 10 × 5 = 50
- 10 × 6 = 60
- 10 × 7 = 70
- 10 × 8 = 80
- 10 × 9 = 90
- 10 × 10 = 100
- 10 × 11 = 110
- 10 × 12 = 120
Tips for learning the 10 times table
- Multiplying by 10 moves each digit one place to the left: 10 × 7 = 70.
- Every answer ends in 0.
- Count in 10s: 10, 20, 30, 40…
- It helps with other tables: 5 × is half of 10 ×, and 9 × is 10 × take away one lot.
The 10 times table in the multiplication tables check
Up to 2 of the 25 questions start with 10, like 10 × 7. Other questions, like 7 × 10, can use it too. Children learn the 2, 5 and 10 times tables in Key Stage 1, so there are only 3 to 7 questions in all from these three tables.
